Innovation

Scotland is famous throughout the world for its inventions and innovations. We contribute to this reputation with our strong track record in supporting inventors and innovative companies through a programme of bespoke projects, training courses and consultancies.

Clients may be at the pre-start stage, an existing small business, a private, public or third sector organisation. We help them by raising their awareness of the value of intellectual property and encouraging good management skills in order to maximise its exploitation.

Our Innovation Projects:

We re-launched the John Logie Baird Awards Programme in June 2008. This prestigious programme provides coaching, mentoring, workshops, and aftercare to individuals and companies developing innovative products, services and processes. It has been welcomed and supported by the Baird family.

The Innovators Counselling and Advisory Service Scotland (ICASS)  was founded by GO in 1999 and has advised over 15,000 clients on how to protect and exploit their intellectual property.

We also deliver Intellectual Property Awareness Workshops to universities, art colleges, schools, and Chambers of Commerce and our team also design New Product Development and Innovation Awareness workshops for a number of public sector organisations in Scotland.

Applicants to NESTA's Starter for 6 programmes attend our tailored training courses to help them prepare business plans for this innovative funding scheme.
